ABOUT OUR PANELISTS:
Kyla Marie Charles is a Madison native and mother of four. She graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Marketing and now uses her degree while managing her own personal brand in influencer marketing. Her primary focus is in social media management, digital marketing, content creation (photography, written copy, and videography), and analytics. She is a full-time influencer with major partners such as Walmart, Johnson & Johnson, WordPress, and Weber Grills.
David Clark-Sally is currently serving on the Board of Social Media Breakfast Madison, while also running his own social media marketing business Clark-Sally Consulting LLC, and working as an influencer himself. He loves partnering with brands + organizations who care about doing good in the world. Outside of all things social media, David enjoys spending time with his husband Matt, their daughters, and their family dog. He is also an avid runner and a self-proclaimed TV junkie. David is an introvert at heart, so his idea of a perfect evening is Netflix-ing on the couch with a gin and tonic by the fire.
Alicia Hazen, otherwise known as “Madtown Momma” is the owner and founder of Madtown Momma LLC, a lifestyle blog that covers Midwest living, motherhood, and fashion, with a specific emphasis on locally and women-owned businesses throughout the Madison area and statewide. She works full-time at a large public institution by day and is an aspiring writer by night. And, of course, a Mom, 24/7! Alicia is a Wisconsin girl, born and raised, and has lived in Madison for 25 years. She likes to wax poetic on everything from food and fashion, to fun and family, and everything in between and hopes to inspire others to live life to the fullest and try something new.
Julia Hix – Rooted in mad-love for Madison and over 12 years’ experience in retail, Julia Hix joined the Hilldale management team in 2018. Julia is the head of Hilldale marketing, creating a space for the community to gather and business owners to thrive!

NONPROFIT SPOTLIGHT: Goodman Community Center
Goodman Community Center (GCC) strengthens lives and secures futures throughout the greater Madison area. Located in the heart of Madison’s Atwood neighborhood, GCC offers programs for preschoolers through teens, families, individuals and older adults. The GCC has on-site childcare services, including fully licensed and accredited preschool, 4K and elementary after-school programs, as well as a teen center that offers after-school activities and employment opportunities for teens. The center’s food pantry serves more than 200 households a week and is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and they also offer meals, social activities and health and wellness opportunities for seniors.
Accessibility is a top priority of the Goodman Center, and as such most of the center’s programs are free or priced to be very affordable, including access to its fitness center, catering services and community spaces. Every year in November, the Goodman Center hosts its Thanksgiving Basket Drive, when they collect donations to provide thousands of Dane County families with everything they need to make a Thanksgiving meal at home. Stay up to date on what’s happening at Goodman by following them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
