Challenged by using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to market your brand to a local audience? Then you’re going to love this month’s Social Media Breakfast! We’re hosting a panel of local business professionals—who also happen to be savvy social marketers. We’ll learn tools and strategies from three very different businesses about how they’ve used social media to grow their businesses. We’ll be joined by Sarah Artz, Owner of One One-Thousand, Zachary Chapman of Ian’s Pizza and Chris Parish of EatStreet to discuss strategies that work for them as they grow community-centered businesses relying heavily on social media. Our moderator for the panel will be Leah Roe, co-founder of Roe & Co, past board member of SMBMad and all around rock star.
About Our Panelists:
Sarah Artz | One-One Thousand: Sarah Artz is an entrepreneur and sometimes marketing consultant. She is the founder of One-OneThousand, a creative business focused on building economy around handcrafted goods and the people that make them. She’s an experience-creator, conversation-seeker and why-asker. In her spare time, you can find her making rounds at the dog park, catching a good flick, writing or laughing over a margarita-on-the-rocks-with-salt please. You can reach Sara on LinkedIn, check out the One-One Thousand website or follow the One-One Thousand Instagram page.
Zachary Chapman | Ian’s Pizza:
Zach Chapman has been working as the Marketing Director for Ian’s Pizza since 2014. Prior to working at Ian’s Pizza Zach handled the marketing for Qdoba Mexican Grill. In 2009 he graduated with a degree in Marketing from Edgewood College right here in Madison. In his personal time, Zach enjoys spending time traveling, camping, hiking, and fishing with his wife Sara and their 2 chihuahuas Lola and Zorro. Zach has a hard time sitting still, so he fills his free time playing softball, volleyball, and hockey. He’s also a big fan of the Bucks, Packers, and Badgers and very seldom does he ever miss a game!
Ian’s Pizza specializes in pizza by the slice. They have two downtown Madison locations and a new east side location coming this Summer to the Historic Garver Feed Mill! Ian’s is known for quirky pizza flavors including the world famous mac n’ cheese pizza. They have around two dozen different varieties of pizza ranging from Smoked Brisket & Tots to Italian Meat Sandwich. Ian’s Pizza has a team of food “masterminds” that showcase new recipes and weekly and monthly special slices.
From Ian’s Pizza: “We are committed to our community, people, and food. We get involved with countless local events and making well over 400 donations to local non-profits and organizations each year. All full-time employees receive 100% paid health and dental insurance and our starting wage is $10/hour. We’re also constantly focused on creating from raw ingredients and using minimally-processed foods and supporting our local farmers by visiting the Dane County Farmers Market twice a week!”
Christian Parish is a Marketing Analyst who is passionate about understanding and using data to guide digital marketing decisions. He currently works at EatStreet, which simplifies online food ordering & delivery across the US from its headquarters here in Madison. Christian is responsible for managing EatStreet’s Paid Social Media where he’s learned valuable lessons growing the company and connecting with customers in these channels. He’s excited to share how he’s had success connecting his org to the communities and customers served by EatStreet through these social platforms.
From EatStreet: There’s hungry, and there’s happy. EatStreet was born to be the world’s smartest shortcut between the two. We don’t make the hoagies, hot wings, or egg rolls, because cooking is best left to cooks. What EatStreet does is make ordering-out as second nature as humanly possible. We combat complicated to hook you up with the food delivery and takeout options you crave, whenever you need it most.
