In May of 2018 Forward Madison FC, Madison’s first professional soccer team, was launched. By the end of the 2019 season, the club led their league in every business metrics. From attracting an average of 4,300 Madisonians to each home game at Breese Stevens Field to selling merchandise to all 50 states and 9 countries, Forward Madison became a frenzy in a short time.
Join members of the Forward Madison FC digital team, Kuba and Jason, as they share their real story of how they built a brand from scratch. They’ll share the techniques used to generate fan interests and engagement to create one of the most engaged social media audiences in the Madison area.

ABOUT OUR PANELISTS:
Kuba Krzyzostaniak – Director of Fan Engagement & Digital Media
Kuba Krzyzostaniak is responsible for maintaining positive community relations and working directly with supporters to integrate Forward Madison FC with the community. He is also in charge of the club’s digital media presence. Kuba had six years of working in the soccer world before joining Forward Madison FC. First, in Major League Soccer’s digital office with KICKTV/COPA90, before moving to Germany and working for the German Bundesliga for two years.
Jason Klein – Digital Content Manager
Jason Klein manages Forward Madison’s online presence, which includes running the day-to-day activities on Flamingo social media, writing news releases, managing the press box on gamedays, and selectively implementing Oxford commas. Jason graduated from UW-Madison in 2019, majoring in history, French, and journalism, which sure has a lot to do with planting flamingos in the snow and researching memes.

NONPROFIT SPOTLIGHT:
BadgerBOTS is a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to promote STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) programs for all ages. It provides summer camps, after school programs, workshops, and spring break camps. In addition, the organization supports several robotics teams for ages 7-18. It is also the Wisconsin coordinator for FIRST LEGO League and FIRST LEGO League, Jr. programs. These programs support 550 teams in Wisconsin and 23 events during the year. The organization has thousands of volunteers each year and reach approximately 800 under-served youth. Learn more at badgerbots.org.
