The Mindset to Get Started on Social Media

EVENT SUMMARY

While Social Media is a great place to share knowledge and educate potential clients, it can feel overwhelming to get started.

In this interactive session, Andrea will lead attendees through exploring some of the sticking points that hold people back, such as the fears of perfection and judgment. Since this will be an intimate group, there will be space to share and receive coaching and support from the others in the room.

After a break, Faith will discuss the technical aspects of sharing video on Social Media. You will practice taking video of yourself which you can post – or not! You choose.

Andrea Andree – Andrea started her social media journey too embarrassed to share what she wanted to share, so she started a secret blog and hidden Facebook page as a place to warm herself up. Eventually, she mustered up the courage to go public. Fast forward to today, and Andrea shows up on social media multiple times a week, sharing the good, bad, and ugly of her personal growth journey.

For her day job, Andrea is a Transformational and Spiritual Coach, helping women create a life they love waking up to. For this session, she will be sharing some of the tools she uses with her clients, with a focus on those fears that keep you from getting started on social media.

Faith Dey – Faith Dey is the Founder of Live Well Video and started in front of cameras for ESPN Television and online productions.

She has taught video creation techniques and on-camera confidence tips through UW-Madison Small Business Development Center, American Marketing Association – Madison Chapter, and Madison College. She is a past presenter and Board VP of Social Media Breakfast Madison.

She is the creator of “The Video Pro Playbook” for those that want to strategically create their own professional videos.
