Event Summary:
The year was 2009: It was a time when the term “social media” was only a bit more than a buzzword. The handful of platforms available were used (mostly) for people to interact with and connect to each another. Many businesses back then were certain social media was just a fad.
2009 was also the year that a handful of savvy, forward-thinking marketers and business owners from Madison realized social media would be the next big thing in marketing, so they created Social Media Breakfast to share their knowledge, experiences and create community.
In October, you’ll get the opportunity to not only learn about how one of your favorite professional development groups got started 10 years ago, but also and where our community and social media trends are headed next!
This event will be a chat-style event with a few of those who have contributed to helping the #SMBMad community grow into what it is today. Attendees will learn a bit more about how the organization started, what was working then (what is old is sometimes new again), what works now, and our local experts’ forecast for the future of social media as we head to 2020 and beyond.
TIME:
7:30 a.m. registration, networking and caffeine
8:00-9:30 a.m. presentation and questions
If you aren’t able to join us in person, Nick Palkowski from Live Action Production, will be LIVE STREAMING this event on our Social Media Breakfast Madison Facebook page.
