Local videographer and owner of Beyond Words Productions, Jamie Perez, will lead a workshop on the value of video for your organization.
EVENT SUMMARY
In the crowded world of the internet, it seems so daunting and impossible to stand out. Especially for startups and solopreneurs, how do you get noticed? Your services, products and skills are not necessarily unique. But your story is.
The art of video storytelling helps nonprofits and for profits share their stories and allows people to understand why they should care about YOU and your business. Everyone should be using video to help market themselves and share their emotive story, especially when video is how most people consume their information now and it’s the best way to reach a huge audience in a short amount of time. (The pandemic only highlighted the need and usefulness that video has).
Jamie Perez, local videographer and owner of Beyond Words Productions, will lead a workshop on the value of video for your organization. Because of Jamie’s ability to extract the emotion behind every story, she’s helped nonprofits raise hundreds of thousands of dollars, created videos to help organizations get grants, helped organizations share the untold story revealing the important “why” behind each business, and has helped businesses hire and retain valuable employees in a tough employment market.
You’ll walk away with a better understanding of how to tell your own story, how videos help boost SEO rankings, audience engagement on social media and more.

NONPROFIT SPOTLIGHT:
Every person, every day depends on the food and fiber systems that ensure food, fiber and energy resources are procured from field to families. Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom exists to grow understanding and awareness of these systems – the source and value of agriculture as it affects our quality of life by delivering authentic, agricultural-based content as the context to teach core curriculum concepts in grades PK-12. Curriculum, training, and resources are delivered and developed in collaboration with educators, volunteers, and partnering entities with the goal of increasing student achievement while providing awareness of careers, skills, and opportunities across the scope of agriculture.
Wisconsin Agriculture in the classroom is supported at the local level by county programs and volunteers. We receive support from grants, private businesses, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection.
